License policy change

Since the new year 2023, the current licensing policy for all ReDAT products will be replaced with a new, simple and clear licensing policy.

Are you our customer or are you going to be one?

  •  New customers will not be affected by the change at all, the system will automatically be delivered to them according to the new conditions.
  • There will be a change for current customers – the optimization and setting of new license keys will be addressed individually with the customer during the first system upgrade during the validity of the new license policy.

Why are we changing the licensing policy?

This change is a result of the need to adapt the license in terms of the technology used, the method of recording, as well as the need to transparently capture new types of licensed functions and modules, such as non-voice interactions.

Customers, processes and entire communication centers are changing and we need to keep up with this trend.

What are the changes about?

The biggest change in licensing policy will occur for all types of recorders, recording different types of interactions. For static channels, all configured channels will be licensed. However, if your technology supports so-called dynamic channels, it will be possible to limit licenses to the maximum number of channels recorded simultaneously.

Example for systems based on dynamic channels:

  • In the past: Do you have 20 phones? You need 20 licenses. Regardless of the actual use of these channels.
  • In the future: Do you have 20 phones, but at most 5 are used at the same time? You only need 5 licenses.

There is only a small change in the ReDAT eXperience application platform.

  • In the past: Individual channels required a license.
  • In the future: Licensing will be based on workplaces.
    • A workplace is an entity that generates telecommunications traffic. That is, the end device, which can be a telephone, channel, branch or screen, which is recorded at the agent’s or dispatcher’s workplace.

Quality Management modules will be licensed according to the number of unique agents processed per month.

  • Regardless of the number of evaluations, reports, coaching notes from each agent.

The voice and text analysis modules will remain unchanged.
